Boot Sequence
SECO’s SBC-B08-7 are highly versatile in terms of boot media; this section focuses on these boot media and explains how to configure preferences and order. This versatility is achieved through a widely used bootloader, called uboot.
SBC-B08 has 3 devices from which you can boot:
• QuadSPI Flash
• On board eMMC
• On board SD card
These devices can be divided in two categories of operating modes; devices that can perform a “Complete” boot sequence, and devices that can perform only a “Partial” boot sequence. The 'Complete boot” devices have the ability to provide all software sources (uBoot → Kernel → File System) to the processor, the “Partial boot” devices, on the other hand, can provide only a part of the software sources. Therefore, the processor must load at least a portion of the software from one of the 'Complete boot' devices.
• Complete boot device:
On board eMMC
On board SD card
• Partial boot device:
QuadSPI Flash
The procedure to boot the board is the following: After the power on sequence, the i.MX6 processor starts the boot and tries to load the uboot from one of these devices:
▪ QuadSPI Flash
▪ On board eMMC
▪ On board SD card

How to connect serial port adapter cable for debug - J9
Standard RS-232 serial ports, available on connector J9, to standard PC serial ports through a null-modem serial cable. For cable accessories refer the link https://www.seco.com/it/cv-1094-200-1306.html
This cable should be used exclusively with SBC-B08 boards configured to have UART1 + UART2 ports in RS-232 mode. For pin configuration please refer the page SBC-B08 - J9 expansion header 6.0
Expansion Connector - J9
Seco Drives Bronco Ii
The SBC-B08-7 board offers the possibility of accessing directly to some of the various features offered by i.MX 6 processor through the pin multiplexing. This means that on-board there is a dedicated 32-pin Expansion connector J9,which is a standard dual-way male pin header.
